Kingdoms: A Commander Variant

Kingdoms is a social, semi-cooperative variant of Commander for 5–7 players. Secret roles determine asymmetric win conditions. The King begins at 50 life and takes the first turn. Can you protect the realm, overthrow the monarch, or strike when the moment is perfect?

King

Reveal your role, start at 50 life and take the first turn. Win if all others lose, or if only you and the Knight remain.

Knight

Protect the King. Win only if everyone except the King loses.

Bandits (x2)

Scheming saboteurs. Win if at least one Bandit remains when the King loses.

Assassin

A patient blade. Win if all others lose — the Bandits must fall before the King, or the Bandits win instead.

Usurper (6 players)

If you cause the King to lose, your life becomes 50 and you become the new King. The former King becomes the Usurper at 5 life instead of losing.
